"The Wonder is, It Always has been, Infinite Just Like the Hurt"
A Meeting focusing on Marva’s Award-Winning Book, published (in Hebrew) in November 2021 and has since seen a second printing. This talk will address writing, activism and healing
Marva is an Israeli poet, midwife and and feminist activist. Four years ago she traveled throughout Israel and then in Europe and North America, sharing her vision of a village for the healing and rehabilitation of women dealing with complex trauma in the wake of rape and sexual abuse. Marva, herself a survivor, having attended too many funerals of friends who took their own lives while searching in vain for a place to heal, described her dream of a Land Where Women Heal – in Hebrew: AMEN (acronym for Admat Marpe Nashit): a place of holistic, professional treatment and community-supported healing combined with a school of women’s wisdom.
