Marva Zohar
Marva is an Israeli poet, midwife and and feminist activist. Four years ago she traveled throughout Israel and then in Europe and North America, sharing her vision of a village for the healing and rehabilitation of women dealing with complex trauma in the wake of rape and sexual abuse. Marva, herself a survivor, having attended too many funerals of friends who took their own lives while searching in vain for a place to heal, described her dream of a Land Where Women Heal – in Hebrew: AMEN (acronym for Admat Marpe Nashit): a place of holistic, professional treatment and community-supported healing combined with a school of women’s wisdom.
